The Building Owner’s and Manager’s Association (BOMA) of Greater Knoxville  is excited to announce our Community Art Program! The aim of this program is to connect local students and community artists with buildings in our area looking display local art.

BOMA will be displaying art from Knox County Schools in BOMA member buildings over the next 6 months!  Visitors will be able to see one of a kind art designed by local area students.  Stay tuned for more information on where to see these displays!  

The theme for our Summer 2019 show is “People Working Hard”.  We want to see what this topic inspired in you, whether you think of a plumber, gardener, electrician, mechanic, farmer or other hardworking individual.  All entries will be displayed at our August meeting.

Students are asked to submit their Summer 2018 artwork no later than Tuesday July 31st

  1. Open to students grades K - 12 who live in the Greater Knoxville area.  The Greater Knoxville area is defined as the following counties: Anderson, Blount, Grainger, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Roane, Sevier, Union

  2. Entries will be judged in the following categories:

    1. 4 through 6 years old

    2. 7 through 10 years old

    3. 11 through 14 years old

    4. 15 through 18 years old

  3. Contestants may submit up to 2 pieces of art for the contest.

  4. BOMA of Greater Knoxville is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged art.  By entering, the artist assumes all risk to property.

  5. Original Artwork only:  All submissions must be hand-drawn or painted artwork (no photocopies, no emailed images).  We will not accept artwork that uses other artist’s images in any way.

  6. By entering, you give BOMA Greater Knoxville permission to publish or reproduce the artwork in any variety or media.

  7. Students may only submit drawings and paintings and all entries must be no larger than 24 inches by 36 inches.  Sculptures or 3D art media will not be accepted.

  8. Please do not sign the front of the artwork as they will be displayed publically
