BOMA of Greater Knoxville is happy to announce that Emily Henderson, Board Member and Chair of Communications, has been featured in the BOMA International magazine a rising star!
Itasca, Illinois is where Emily started her career journey in 2012 as a leasing consultant for a 500 unit apartment complex at the age of 19. What began as a part-time position soon turned to full- time, a telling trend you will see throughout her career. She was able to increase occupancy rates, advertise thorough multiple avenues for maximum exposure and increase overall productivity. Emily has a way of taking nothing and turning it into more then you could ever expect. Her willingness to learn, overcome obstacles and natural way with people is hard to miss in this bright young rising star.
After life brought her to Knoxville, Emily was able to pull from her residential leasing experience and start with Lillibridge Healthcare Services as a temporary administrative assistant. As I said before, temporary or part-time is always just the beginning for this professional woman. BOMA of Greater Knoxville President, Amanda Gray, CPM said "it was clear Emily was an ideal candidate to be a long term member at Lillibridge." With goals of eventually becoming a General Property Manager herself, Emily, quickly became an asset to the Commercial Property Management world. And in January 2018 was promoted to Assistant Property Manager at 24.
Emily has come so far in a short time span and continues to break the mold of expectations put on the millennial generation. BOMA of Greater Knoxville is proud to call her a very active member and watch her continue to achieve her dreams. To read the the article about our local rising star click here.
